Schubert b2b President Joins Philly Ad Club’s TEENS Program to Inspire Students to Explore Careers in the Communications Industry

Rich Carango, president and creative director of Schubert b2b, has joined the Philly Ad Club Educational Foundation’s TEENS Program to work with middle school students and introduce them to the communications industry. In partnership with the School District of Philadelphia, the program encourages a more inclusive demographic representation within the industry.

Each month from September through June, more than 65 communications professionals and students come together to explore the fields of marketing and advertising. Specific schools are selected in the summer, and teams are formed with volunteers who prepare lesson plans to be used throughout the upcoming school year.

Carango will join a team assigned to a local middle school where they will work with a class of about 20 students. He and fellow volunteers will guide the students to work as a team, brainstorm ideas and create strategic plans.

“When I work with kids and watch them light up and work together to come up with great ideas, I’m not sure who’s more inspired, them or me!” Carango said. “This program really seems to get the kids excited about their future careers and teaches them to push themselves and express their creativity.”

Carango leads Schubert b2b in creating and identifying strategies, tactics and technologies to improve clients’ digital marketing efforts. Under his direction, Schubert b2b’s creative and interactive teams have won top awards from both local and national marketing organizations like the Business Marketing Association, the Art Directors Club and Graphic Design USA.
